Reddit user FatManManFat (cool name) posted a picture to the popular website last weekend of an alleged suspension notice received by his friend’s little brother.
“Sean was brought to the office by a staff member who reported that Sean had a sharp object on him in his right pocket. When asked what he had in his pocket he reported he did not have anything. When asked to empty his pockets he refused. After several minutes Sean emptied his pockets. The contents of his pockets included a cell phone, pen cap, and paper clip. The paperclip was bent in a manner that could allow for use as a weapon.”
While efforts to substantiate the claim are still underway, such an incident is far from abnormal. An 8-year-old special needs student was expelled over a paper gun in New York this week, while nationwide students have been disciplined over infractions like spraying perfume and burping in class. When will the madness end?
