Confederate-Loving Mother Allegedly Kidnaps Daughter To Prevent Her From Getting Vaccines

Police are on the lookout for Megan Everett who allegedly kidnapped her 2-year-old daughter in order to prevent her from receiving a vaccine. The father of the child, Robert Bauman, called the police when he noticed a note stating why she disappeared.

The note read, “You are a great dad. If I let them take her and vaccinate her and brainwash her, I wouldn’t be doing what’s right. I cannot let a judge tell me how my daughter should be raised. We will miss you. But I had to leave.”

The New York Daily News is reporting that Everett had taken up the beliefs of her current boyfriend Carlos Lesters, reporting him as a “gun nut,” who believes in “upholding the tradition of the Southern Confederacy.”

“She didn’t want Lilly to learn about black history,” Bauman told the Sun Sentinel. “She just wanted her to learn about the Confederacy. She found this new idea that vaccines are horrible. I think she wanted to keep her from being vaccinated because that would keep her out of day care.”

Everett’s Mother, Pam Everett, believes that her daughter is not well and should be with the father. “In the state of mind my daughter is in, Lilly would be better off with Robert,” Pam Everett said. “I have four kids, and Megan is my baby. I don’t know what happened to her.”

According to court documents the judge in the case is “not overly  thrilled with the psychology,” of the mother.

“It is however a troubling issue to the Court when the parties’ two year old child is living in a home with a mother and her boyfriend where the boyfriend carries a gun on his person throughout the day and where there are numerous other weapons and ammunition stored in the household,” wrote Judge Steven Feren.
