Top 5 Reasons To Vote Libertarian This November
3. National Debt
Have you ever wondered how our government has gotten us so far into debt as a nation? Have you ever wondered how we as a nation might even begin to climb out of this pit of debt the United States government has dug us into? Have you ever taken a look at all the government agencies and federal departments and wondered what purpose they serve, or how much of your money they are eating up? Have you wondered how much of the military budget is going to foreign countries with US military bases, and what that money is funding in turn?
Though the country’s debt has remained an ever-growing problem, we haven’t heard much for viable solutions from the Republican or the Democratic side in recent years; at least none that wouldn’t dig deep into tax payer pockets, but we have heard some good ideas from another party. For example, Ron Paul, though most recently a Republican, ran as the Libertarian presidential nominee in 1988 and has always been outspoken when it comes to ideas and solutions to some of the major issues facing America today. Libertarian vice presidential nominee Governor Bill Weld has said “We will balance the budget in the first 100 days in office.” Knowing his track record as Governor of Massachusetts, I believe him.
