4. Iffy on marijuana
Carson, unlike other potential GOP contenders, has at least come out with a statement considering his stance on the legalization of marijuana:
“Medical use of marijuana in compassionate cases has been proven to be useful, but recognize that marijuana is what is known as a gateway drug – a starter for people who move on to heavier duty drugs. I don’t think this is something we really want for our society.”
When it comes to recreational marijuana though, Carson has been much more clear, calling it a “descent into hedonism.”
