Woman fired after negative comments on Facebook towards soldiers

Meagan May was fired from her job at Carmike Cinemas in Manhattan, Kansas after openly criticizing members of the military on Facebook. Her comment stated that she did not respect members of the military as ‘heroic’ and chastised them for trying to get discounts at her business due to their service to the nation.

Her employer terminated her after they received such negative feedback and claimed that those opinions did not reflect those of Carmike’s. May is reportedly not backing down saying she has every right to free speech.
