18. Ruby Dhalla
Dhalla served in the Canadian House of Commons from 2004 to 2011 as a member of the Liberal Party. She became the first of two Sikh women to serve in the House. Such courage and willingness to take ground-breaking steps are just what so many of us wish for in a female. Furthermoe, with each US election, it is almost always threatened that supporters on the losing side will move to Canada. Dhallas makes that option all the more enticing.
