20. Sarah Palin
Would any list be complete without the inclusion of this “mama grizzly?” This Alaska Republican worked her way up the political ladder in her home state, serving on the Wasilla City Council for 4 years before becoming Mayor of the town for 6 years. She was elected the first female Governor of Alaska in 2006 and was most notably selected as John McCain‘s Vice Presidential nominee in 2008. While her political career is most likely over, we will always have a place in our hearts for Sarah Palin.
