The idea that everything will immediately be better with the right people in office is delusional. Change starts slow: something that is hard to accept in the age of instant gratification that we live in. However, it has to start with “We the People.” At the very least, voting libertarian sends a message to the two major parties that it’s time for government to do what it was intended to do and serve its citizens: to start adopting and implementing more policies that benefit us, rather than penalize us; policies that create more individual freedoms, rather than fewer. If you don’t vote, they don’t get that message. Americans inherently have an unshakable belief in liberty: a belief that it is your right to look after your life, your property, and your family. I think our government just needs a reminder. Take it from a Canadian like Tim Moen.
