LISTEN TO TLR’S LATEST PODCAST:
In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, former Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich appeared to defend President Donald Trump from what is being called the “deep state,” saying that their unsubstantiated leaks and sources are an attempt to “take down a president,” and that is “very dangerous to America.”
Hannity: How bad is this? Former Congressman Kucinich.
Kucinich: Well, you have a politicization of the agencies that is resulting in leaks from anonymous, unknown people, and the intention is to take down a president. Now this is very dangerous to America. Its a threat to our Republic, it constitutes a clear and present danger our way of life. So we have to be asking, what is the motive of these people. Who is putting these leaks out? Why isn’t someone coming forward? Make a charge, put their name and reputation behind it, instead of attacking through the media and not substantiating their position.
Kucinich goes on to explain that this isn’t about “one president,” saying that our first allegiance is to our country. He explains that his real concern is over the intelligence community directly challenging the political process in the United States, and forcing their will over the chief executive, whether they be a Republican or Democrat.
