Nicholas Sarwark, the Libertarian Party National Chairman, has requested that the General Services Administration begin to give Gary Johnson and Bill Weld national security briefings in order to better form LP policy for this election cycle.
Although this is typical for presidential candidates, the fact that Johnson and Weld will begin to get these confidential briefings is a big deal. If they were receiving these briefings already then you likely wouldn’t have seen the Aleppo gaffe. Here’s a link to the official announcement on the Libertarian Party website.
