How to Write a Sophisticated Essay

How to Write a Sophisticated Essay

How many sentences are in a paragraph? How to write paragraphs? According to a study published in the Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics, there should be four to six sentences per paragraph depending on the length of the text and the actual requirement of your teacher. It’s safe to say that sophisticated writing can make you sound creative and sharp-minded, but there are a lot of things to take care of while writing something extraordinarily complex.

If you are looking to sound smart and intelligent, you should stop worrying and looking here and there as we present some tips on how to come up with a brilliant essay in a short time. After that you can write essay, college papers, custom essay, course work and etc.

1. Think what to tell

The first thing is to think out of the box and be clear about the best and cool sounding words to use in the text. It will make writing faster, smoother and easier for you. There are times when a person has nothing to say, and he stays silent for hours. If you come across the same situation and want to come up with something nice, then you should brainstorm several ideas and come up with a brief outline. You should try to take notes in the class on a regular basis and be able to convey the message to your readers impressively and engagingly.

2. Be individual

Are you trying to find a song but only know a few words? Consider the following sentences as an example:

“I have grown various flowers in my garden area.”

“I would like to grow up to 35 varieties of flowers in the backyard, especially Shasta daisies, climbing clematis and coneflowers.”

This example will give you an idea that by describing things in detail, you can leave a good impression on the mind of your reader. If you had written only a brief sentence, it would have never been possible for you to come up with quality content.

3. Tell in a simple way

If you have used some other words for said, then it is the right time to tell your story in simple and understandable language. You should write everything precisely and from scratch, and there is no need to confuse the reader by inserting multiple quotes and phrases in a single paragraph. You can use longer sentences or sophisticated words only if the meaning is specific and no other words or phrases can explain it.

4. Don’t write long sentences

One of the core mistakes students and writers make is that they use big words and long sentences in the essay. You should try to keep the length of every sentence short and have to write not more than five to seven sentences per paragraph. Try to make the content understandable and readable for the target audience, and ensure that every sentence you write has a deep and straightforward meaning.

5. Better to use active voice

How many sentences make a paragraph? Should they have an active voice or passive voice? Ideally, you should write in an active voice as readers like the SVO sentence sequence (Subject, Verb, and Object). Check the following example for a more definite idea.

Active voice:

Passive sentences look boring to the reader.

Passive voice:

The reader gets bored by sentences written in passive voice.

It may not be possible for you to use the active voice all the time, but you should try to use only two to three passive sentences in the whole text.

6. Don’t make long paragraphs

If you get a chance to read a newspaper article or a short essay published on the web, you will notice that the sentences and paragraphs are always short and to the point. You should try to do the same; there is no need to write long and confusing paragraphs, with multiple arguments at the same place. Instead, you should write a single argument in a paragraph and the length of the paragraph should not be more than seven to ten sentences. In academic writing, every paragraph has to develop one idea and needs to include professional language. Furthermore, the style of writing should be less formal.

7. Without fluffing

The quality of your sentences has to be high, and the text should be written without fluff. Some of the qualifying words are “little,” “rather” and “very,” and it is important for you to use these or similar words in your sentences. In other words, we can say that it is integral to avoid fluff words as they can leave a bad impression on your readers and may distract their attention from the core issue.

8. Without rambling

Undoubtedly, rambling is one of the major problems a student or writer will ever face. You may not consider it a big issue, but it can lower the quality of your content to an extent. For example, if a sentence is written using the word “territory,” then it may look useful to you, but the point is you should not ramble.

9. No repetition

It is a common observation that writers and students repeat the same words and sentences. If you want to maintain the quality, then you should say something different in every paragraph rather than repeating the same concept and wasting the time of your readers.

10. Don’t make it too long

You should keep the word count of your essay to a minimum. For example, if you are to write a general topic, then the words can be something from 300 to 500, and if there is a research topic, then the words can be up to 1000.

11. Polishing

Finally, you must shorten, rewrite and delete that does not add value to the content. For this purpose, you should read it thoroughly and carefully and do not write something which is not related to your topic.

With these things in mind, it will be easy for you to write the text within a few hours while maintaining quality and consistency.
