Santa Claus appears to have come early for one community. An anonymous man has paid off $106,000 worth of layaway tabs at a Walmart in Northeast Ohio.
The man told Walmart employees he wished to remain nameless, but that he liked to do something nice for others on his birthday. The mystery benefactor visited two stores, one in Steelyard Commons and one in Lorain. The man paid off tabs including big and small ticket items– from TV’s to clothing.
One lucky mother was able to pick-up her 3-year-old-daughter’s bed after only putting $10 down on it. The rest was paid by the anonymous donor. She said it was “like Santa” had come.
It’s always nice to see instances of such generosity, especially around the holidays.
