Top 5 Reasons it Doesn’t Matter Whether Trump or Clinton Wins
5. Public Scrutiny
Unlike most presidents, whoever wins the 2016 election will face a high level of scrutiny right off the bat. Both of these candidates are disliked—even hated—and that is only going to swell once elected.
The Clinton Foundation is under investigation, not only by the FBI, but by throngs of citizen journalists scouring the Wikileaks emails. Every foreign policy move will be cross-referenced to Foundation donations. The developments in the Anthony Wiener/Huma Abedin investigation will take center stage as she tries to pull together an executive team.
Should Trump win tomorrow, a parade of stiffed contractors and fondled beauty queens will besiege Trump as he transitions into governing. He will face a dubious Congress and a hostile press, and his every move will be labeled idiotic—even if it isn’t.
Neither one of these candidates is going to get the chance to govern well and will likely be stuck in a defensive mode well into the first term, if not for all of it. They have themselves to blame for that.
