Concealed Carry Gun Owner Stops Shooting Rampage In Barbershop

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A man who went on a shooting rampage in a Philly barbershop was cut short by another man with a concealed carry permit. Citizens are calling him a hero for stopping the gunman from claiming any victims after a fight at the shop got out of hand.

A 40-year-old man got into a fight in the barbershop, pulling out a gun and firing indiscriminately at customers. 16-year-old Yusaf Mack who was a customer inside the shop related the story to NBC Philadelphia: “They were arguing. They were taking it too far and one of the barbers said, ‘chill out.'”

The concealed carry owner heard the shots from outside, ran in, and put a bullet through the attacker’s chest. The attacker later died from his injuries while the hero turned himself into police.

Investigators are treating the incident as a case of self defense, and no charges are expected to be filed. “The person who responded was a legal gun permit carrier,” said Philadelphia Police Captain Frank Llewellyn. “He responded and I guess he saved a lot of people in there.”
