A Libertarian Republic Exclusive Interview: Austin Petersen is Set to Launch Daily Radio Show in Jefferson City

We have an exclusive interview for you here on The Libertarian Republic with former Libertarian Presidential Candidate / Former Republican Senate Candidate and owner/founder of The Libertarian Republic, Austin Petersen.

Austin has some big news about his future as a political commentator and media personality. He will soon be launching a full-time daily radio show in the state of Missouri. I had the privilege to interview Austin and find out the details of his new venture.

Shumate: “I’m sure the idea of having your own radio show is quite exciting. How did you land such a big opportunity?”

Petersen: “I had been doing radio shows in Columbia for Gary Nolan and Pete Mundo In Kansas City after my senate campaign, and Gary had really been after me to get into radio, so when an opportunity presented itself I took it.”

Shumate: “What is the name of your show?”

Petersen: “To be determined. We are still trying to decide, we will get that figured out soon.”

Shumate: “How can listeners hear your weekly program?”

Petersen: “Listeners can hear the show on the radio, KWOS 950 AM 104.5 FM and online at KWOS.com”

Shumate: “Where is the home base of your program?”

Petersen: “The home base will be in Jefferson City, Missouri.”

Shumate: “With this new found success, what can we expect for the future of The Libertarian Republic and your team?”

Petersen: “The Libertarian Republic will continue and expand with more witters, more great content, more liberty-themed products, more fun, and freedom fighting.”

Shumate: “Will you continue to use Patreon to fund The Freedom Report Podcast, given the controversy of the platform censoring users?”

Petersen: “At the moment, we do not have a large Patreon audience, but given the censorship by Patreon of users like Sam Harris, Dave Rubin, Jordan Peterson, and I am very tentative with my future with the platform. I plan to poll my audience in the most scientific way possible, and if they still want “The Freedom Report Podcast” I may switch platforms if the Rubin/Peterson venture takes off.”

Shumate: “How many listeners do expect to reach?”

Petersen: “At the moment, that is to be determined. We do not have an idea for the base audience, so we plan to work to expand our audience and achieve syndication.”

Shumate: “You’re clearly a firebrand in the liberty movement, but for those who don’t know you, what can they expect to see?”

Petersen:  “New listeners to my program can expect big interviews, big name guests, lots of fun and freedom fighting, and probably plenty of karaoke on air. “

Shumate: “What do goals do you hope to accomplish as Missouri’s newest radio commentator?”

Petersen: “I hope to expand on my base that I acquired during my Senate campaign here in Missouri, dissect legislation both on the local and national level from a libertarian perspective, work closely with the Republican Liberty Caucus here in mid-Missouri.”

The news of the “Freedom Ninja” hitting the airwaves is not only big news for Austin and his company, The Libertarian Republic, but also for the freedom movement in the state of Missouri and the movement as a whole.

Things are certainly looking up for Austin, and while we can’t see the future before it happens, I will say that I predict nothing but good things for Austin. Who knows? This could certainly be the beginning of The Libertarian Republic becoming a major media competitor not only in Missouri, but nationally as well. Time will tell.

I would like to thank Austin for giving me the chance to sit down with him for an exclusive interview, and to be the first to break this news to our readers.

I  would also like to wish Austin and his team at The Libertarian Republic the best of luck as they continue to grow and advance the ideas of personal growth and economic liberty.
