Disabled Man Kicked Out Of Deadpool 2 On His Birthday Gets Private Screening

Facebook user Brenda Branton took to Facebook out of frustration in what would become of viral post. On June 2nd she took her son Sam Branton to see Deadpool 2 for his birthday, but they were asked to leave the Springfield, OR Cinemark 17 theater in the middle of the movie because Sam could not contain his excitement.

Patch.com writes:

Unfortunately, Sam’s audible excitement during the film disturbed other moviegoers at the Gateway mall Cinemark in Springfield, so they responded by asking theater management to remove both Sam and Brenda before the movie was over.

Disabled in a car accident years ago, Sam is non-verbal. So, while many of us may whisper to each other during a film to express our joy, Sam can be a bit more vocal — especially when he’s really thrilled.

Many people commented on the viral post, some expressing dismay at Sam’s removal while others expressing sympathy to the other moviegoers who paid to see the movie. There’s really no silver bullet here, as both sides of this are correct in their grievances. It’s a classic social stalemate.

This story does not end with a shrug though. After the outpouring of support for Sam, and with the help of local journalist Rick Dancer, the Broadway Metro theater in Euguene, OR offered Sam and his friends and family their own private showing.
