President Trump announced on Tuesday that he asked for John Bolton’s resignation Monday night and Bolton complied this morning.
“I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore…I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week”, Trump announced on Twitter, Tuesday.

President Trump did not cite any specific reasons for firing Bolton, only saying that he and others in the current administration strongly disagreed with Bolton’s suggestions. Bloomberg suggests that Trump’s decision to let Bolton go may come as a result of the president backing away from his initial peace talks with the Taliban.
Bolton sent out a tweet on Tuesday in which he stated that it was his idea to step down from the position as National Security Advisor.
“I offered to resign last night, and President Trump said, ‘Let’s talk about it tomorrow.’” Bolton said.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, who has been an outspoken voice against American foreign interventionism, praised President Trump for his decision to fire Bolton,
“I commend @realDonaldTrump for this necessary action. The President has great instincts on foreign policy and ending our endless wars. He should be served by those who share those views.” said Senator Paul.

Never thought I'd see a National Security Advisor fired for screwing up a President's secret meeting with the Taliban the week of 9/11, but here we are.

John Bolton was a war hawk and the American people are tired of fighting countless wars for the advancement of big oil and the military industrial complex.
Also, if the US taxpayer INVESTED billions into these wars (forced to), where the hell is our RETURN ON INVESTMENT?

Moving forward, one can hope that President Trump will keep his campaign promise to the American people and pull us out of endless regime change wars.
