Democratic Socialist Ocasio-Cortez Recruits Children To Push Anti-Trump Agenda

Democratic socialist congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez used children to push her anti-Trump rhetoric and asked them to promise to help her campaign, in a video she posted on Twitter Saturday.

Ocasio-Cortez, who recently banned the media from attending one of her town hall events, posted a video on Twitter where she tries to rally children to her campaign by attacking President Donald Trump.

“I’m the Democratic nominee for Congress out here, so I’m going to go to D.C. — we’re going to be fighting Trump,” Ocasio-Cortez said as the children cheered.

She then asked the children to recruit members of their families who are older than 18 to vote in the midterms, so the Democrats can remove Trump from office.

“If they don’t vote, then we can’t kick out Trump,” she told the kids. She then made all of them promise to help her, by raising their hands and agreeing to give their word.

“If you’re going to agree say, ‘yes I’m going to do it,’” she said. After the children raised their hands she went a step further and told the children to tell their parents to “vote for Alexandria in November and Jumaane in September.”

Jumaane Williams is a Democratic New York City council member who is running for lieutenant governor. He was out campaigning with Cortez at the time of the video.

Ocasio-Cortez ended by high-fiving all the children, before thanking them for listening.
