Man Detained By Police For Walking With Hands In Pockets In Freezing Temperatures

PONTIAC, MI – A man was detained by police for walking with his hands in his pockets in freezing cold Pontiac, Michigan. “You were walking by,” the officer told McKean. “You were making people nervous.”

Brandon McKean was stopped by an officer on Thanksgiving Day while walking down the street. The officer who stopped him claimed that someone called to report McKean walking down the street with his hands in his pockets. “Yeah, they said you had your hands in your pocket,” the officer says.

The officer kept up his questioning: “What are you up to today?” McKean replies: “Walking, with my hands in my pockets.” The officer then asks: “Is it an inconvenience talking to me right now?”

“Hell yes,” answers McKean, saying “the whole police situation going on across the country.” The officer then replied “We do have a lot of robberies, so I’m just checking on you.”
