Is Obama living in a fantasy world over Ukraine? (VIDEO)

Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer responded to President Barack Obama‘s remarks about the crisis in Ukraine. Comparing the mentality of opposing Russian aggression to an outdated cold war way of thinking, Obama earned scorn from Krauthammer, who said the president is admitting that he’s living in a fantasy world.

Obama’s remarks:

“The United States does not view Europe as a battleground between East and West, nor do we see the situation in Ukraine as a zero-sum game,” Obama said.  “That’s the kind of thinking that should have ended with the Cold War.”

In contrast however, the president continued, “It’s important for Russia to understand that the international community will not accept its violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Obama said. “Moreover, if Russia continues on this path, the sanctions we have begun to impose, the pressure on Russia’s economy, and Russia’s diplomatic isolation, will only increase.  This is the basic choice that Russia has to make.”

Fox host Brian Kilmeade questioned Krauthammer over the efficacy of sanctions. Krauthammer responds that they are nothing more than a speed bump, and discusses how former President Jimmy Carter changed his mind on the Russians after they invaded Afghanistan.
