Teenager Gives Police Officer A Parking Ticket, Gets Rewarded For Good Deed (VIDEO)

Sticking it to “The Man”

A Texas teenager stuck it to The Man after she saw a police car illegally parked in a fire lane. Instead of getting in trouble however, she was issued a reward for keeping the officer on his toes.

Annie James issued a handwritten $10 ticket when she saw the officer parked in an unsafe area. Officer Tommy King had parked his patrol car in a fire zone and when he returned to his vehicle, he saw the fine.

“I came to my car and I saw a piece of paper on my windshield,” King said. “I took it off and opened it and read it and I started laughing immediately.” The paper read that the officer owed $10 to the owner of the apartment complex.

“I thought it was neat that she made that for $10 but not to herself,” King said. He then paid the fine to the complex owner, and also gave Annie a $40 gift card to Toys ‘R Us.

“Turns out we’re both from Alabama and end [sic] up in Texas,” King said. “It’s interesting … I made a friend. A lesson would be not to be shy or afraid of law enforcement. We’re here to help.”
