JASPER, TX – A CCTV camera shows a 25-year-old woman being beaten and harassed at a police station over a $150 parking fine. The woman admitted she hadn’t paid the fine, and the officers were pleasant at first. When it turned out she was unable to pay the fine, the officers snapped and a confrontation occurred. The video shows the woman being pushed and then her head is slammed into a counter. Unbelievable brutality to a woman who does not appear to have been violent from the camera evidence shown. Civil rights activists in Texas have begun stepping up to take action against the Jasper police department in order to get to the bottom of what happened.
