A shooting outside the National Security Agency headquarters has officials on high alert.
A vehicle rammed the gates of the National Security Agency’s headquarters at Fort Meade about 20 miles outside of Washington D.C., MyFoxDC reports. A guard reportedly fired on the SUV around 9:30 a.m. Monday morning.
MSNBC reported that two men driving the stolen vehicle containing drugs were disguised as women and were apparently trying to enter the headquarter’s property.
There has been no official word of fatalities, but a local reporter at the scene tweeted that there appears to be at least one dead. A picture of the incident appears to show a body covered with a sheet and a person being put in an ambulance.
Earlier this month, a former corrections officer was arrested for opening fire on the NSA headquarters.
