Rand Paul: “I’ll Fight Obama’s Executive Orders Tooth and Nail!”

Monday, during a presidential campaign stop in New Hampshire, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul responded to President Barack Obama‘s executive orders on guns with a tweet that promised to fight them “tooth and nail.”

Paul, who is an ardent supporter of gun rights, has earned an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association and has recently introduced legislation that would label any executive action put forth by the president concerning gun control as “advisory only” until corresponding legislation is passed by congress.

The New York Daily News:

“In the United States, we do not have a king, but we do have a Constitution. We also have the Second Amendment, and I will fight tooth and nail to protect it,” Paul’s statement reads. The proposed bill would make it legal for any state official or member of Congress to bring a civil lawsuit against the President, related to the effects of any executive action on gun control.

During his press conference on his executive action on gun control, the president made the very misleading statement that these measures are encouraged by a “majority of gun owners.”

Rand Paul’s on the right side of the debate and that side is the one of liberty. In a post from the senator’s Facebook page on Monday, he passionately rejected the idea that the Constitution is irrelevant today and urged that we mustn’t be forced to make the choice between our liberty or our security.
