Prominent #BlackLivesMatters Activist… Is White! But that’s not all!

Rachel Dolezal might not be so alone anymore in the trans-racial category.  Prominent Black Lives Matter activist and columnist at Daily Kos, Shaun King, has apparently been outed as a white guy pretending to be bi-racial.

According to The Daily Beast:

Prominent Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King said for years that he is biracial, because he was born to a white mother and an African-American father, but Kentucky public records reviewed by The Daily Beast show that King’s father is white. Jeffery Wayne King, born November 11, 1955, is listed as Shaun King’s father on his birth certificate. Criminal records identify Jeffrey King’s ethnicity as white.

King has claimed in past interviews that his mother is white and his father is black but that has now been called into question.  King was also involved, on the receiving end, of a beating he said was racially motivated. He claimed he was nearly beaten to death but The Blaze obtained the police report which stated he sustained “minor injuries” and also curiously listed his race as “white.”

King also accepted an Oprah scholarship to Morehouse College, which is supposed to be only given to black men.

King has refused to answer questions about his race and claims that he is the target of a smear campaign.

CunninLynguists, a hiphop group, posted a defense of King on their Facebook page and the attacks against him.  Requests on the post by myself for them to clarify if King is black or bi-racial were met with a short response by CunninLynguists, or whoever administers the page, re-iterating that King is a long time friend and that he has “faced abuse in the past regarding questions to his racial identity” but did not answer the question. The page quickly deleted my comment afterwards.
