President Barack Obama is set to unveil an initiative aimed at cutting carbon pollution and energize cap-and-trade policies through unilateral action. The new regulations are aimed at cutting pollution and is widely considered to be the most sweeping action ever taken in American history on climate change. But what do readers of The Libertarian Republic believe should be done about climate change. Do they even believe that it’s a threat?

Take our poll below and we’ll publish the results when they come in.

Climate has always changed irregardless of Homo sapiens existence. Humans are part of the present environment therefore man will be a variable. However “Climate Change” as the progressives define it is pure politics. It is ridiculous to answer the question with four choices.

You need another category: I believe it is happening, is complex and is possibly caused in part by human activity. I believe it may or may not be a significant problem, but I do not believe government regulation and intervention will help.

Agree with Josh, as a scientist it is unscientific to state humans have no impact on the environment. Any addition to a system will have some impact. The questions are really about magnitude, not whether or not there’s any effect, a butterfly has an effect, it’s just whether or not that effect is large enough for anyone to care.

My suspicion is no, the impact of humanity on the earth is negligible, but I’m not a climate scientist, I just do reading on this topic.
