The Libertarian Republic has learned that the sequestration cuts agreed to by President Barack Obama in 2011 do not apply to his own paycheck. A recent report by the Congressional Research Service lists a host of exemptions, one being the President’s salary and the other is pensions owed to former Presidents. Although Americans increased their spending in December over the previous four years, unemployment has remained at 7.8%, not a good formula for a healthy economy. While so many Americans are out of work and with the coming impact of possible sequestration cuts, should the President be leading by example and taking a pay cut as well?
