LearnLiberty is out with a new video that explains why the NSA’s warrantless wiretapping is a violation of citizen’s natural rights. Professor James Otteson of Yeshiva University explains how the 4th amendment originated out of the tyranny of the British King George III allowing his soldiers to write their own search warrants. These ‘writs of assistance‘ were the equivalent of today’s national security letters, a PATRIOT Act provision that demands Americans be silent if they receive one.
