Kids Expelled For Bringing Confederate Flag To School. Are We Still Fighting The Civil War? (PODCAST)

 

Two students were permanently suspended from school after walking into an after-hours sporting event with a confederate flag draped around their shoulders. The principal of the school said “The African-American students who immediately saw it really exercised heroic restraint and fortunately a teacher immediately confiscated the flag and took the students out of the gym,” he said.

Obviously schools have a right to maintain order at their facilities, but is wearing a Rebel flag making a racist statement, or is it an issue of free speech? And why after over 100 years are we still fighting the philosophical battles of the Civil War? Was the war about slavery, or states rights?
