Cop Robs Make-A-Wish Family (VIDEO)

MEMPHIS, TN – A Memphis police officer stands accused of trying to rob a Make-A-Wish family at the Memphis International airport.

According to the police report, a St. Jude employee brought a bag including a $1,500 prepaid credit card for the Make-A-Wish family on a vacation.  Off duty cop Ronald Harris allegedly followed the St. Jude employee into the airport and attempted to steal the bag, assaulting another man in the process.

After his arrested, Harris attempted to escape by kicking open the patrol car’s door and running.  He was subdued and placed in leg-cuffs to prevent further escape attempts.

Harris faces charges including robbery, aggravated result and felony incarceration.

This sickening action once again calls into question why police officers are accorded special privileges by government when they too are as capable of engaging in criminal behavior as the rest of us.
