OLYMPIA, WA – Ben Shea says his ex-girlfriend harassed him for years, calling him hundreds of times a day, even having him arrested for “assault”. Police were finally able to determine recently that the man was actually the victim in the situation.

“She told police I dragged her out of her car, kicked her, and beat her on the side of the road,” Shea said. He was also accused of beating the woman in front of city hall.

People initially didn’t believe Shea, but subsequent investigations revealed that the woman was frequently aggressively pursuing Shea in her vehicle. Police served a warrant after she posed as someone else and sent strings of non-stop text messages telling him to get prosecutors to drop the charges.

Shea stated that he always is checking over his shoulder, fearing she might be nearby. He hopes she will receive felony charges so that he can live his life in peace. “You can’t force somebody to be part of your life,” he said. “Just move on.”
