Liberal Darling Pope Francis Publicly Abhors Members of LGBT Community

Pope Francis, the guy all the liberal academics and elites endlessly fawn over, has built up quite the track record of being a pretty repellent individual for those who have actually bothered to pay attention to his inconsistent public rhetoric and actions.

For starters, he has promulgated junk economics rather than call for any real entrepreneurial prosperity or philanthropy (he still carries on the horrible legacy of discouraging condom use in Africa to prevent HIV/AIDS).  In addition, recent reports say that Francis still only relies on ingratiating words and absolutely no action when it comes to the all the priestly child molesters hiding behind the cross, which results in things staying exactly the same in this regard with no perpetrators actually meeting justice.  So already, ol’ Frankie is two for two.  But now he has said something that will perhaps be the toughest of all for his leftist sycophants to assuage:  Transgendered individuals are dangerous – like nuclear weapons!

In a new book where he writes about gender theory and sexuality (subjects in which, by the way, the Pope has absolutely no credentials/authority to speak of), everyone’s favorite rock star bishop tells it like it is and completely mops the floor with trans people:

“Let’s think of the nuclear arms, of the possibility to annihilate in a few instants a very high number of human beings … Let’s think also of genetic manipulation, of the manipulation of life, or of the gender theory, that does not recognise the order of creation.  With this attitude, man commits a new sin, that against God the Creator.” (Pope Francis: This Economy Kills)

Setting aside the fact that this is simply not liberal-friendly rhetoric (and therefore not in line with his prime American fan base), Pope Francis is also just plain wrong.  I’ve written before about gender dysphoria and how it’s not only a very real psychological condition, but a treatable one via a short list of scientifically supported methods that all more or less culminate in the suffering party openly identifying as transgendered.  If Pope Francis wishes to make enemies of these people for fallacious and/or personal reasons, then it is this writer’s opinion that he aligns himself with the exact sort of backwood, right-wing bigot that liberal left is all too happy to publicly disparage.

But therein lies the rub – will liberals show a little bit of intellectual honesty and political consistency here, or will they simply sweep these latest comments under the rug just as they have done in the past – seemingly to perpetuate the myth of the cool, liberal Pope they so desperately pine for?  My hopes rest on the former likelihood, but my money is placed on the latter.
