Judge Napolitano tears into Dallas Police over controversial new policy (VIDEO)

NEW YORK, NY –  Fox News Sr. Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano tore into the Dallas Police Chief David Brown over a controversial new decision to change the department’s policies regarding police shootings. The policy would require officers wait 72 hours after a shooting before making an official statement regarding the event.

Officers will be allowed to watch video of the event before they make their statement. The change was ordered after the killing of an unarmed man by Dallas Police, who reported that he had a knife and lunged at them.

Napolitano claims the police union pressured Chief Brown to make the change and that it was brought about because officers want to be able to provide maximum spin on their version of events.

“[This rule] allows them to collaborate, allows them to shade and spin what they’re saying,” Napolitano says and added that there’s “a law for everybody and a special law for people in the government.”
