Jill Stein Says War With Russia More Likely Under Hillary, Less Likely Under Trump

On a live interview with C-SPAN, Stein said “on the issue of war, and nuclear weapons, and the potential of nuclear war, it’s actually Hillary’s policies, which are much scarier than Donald Trump, who does not want to go to war with Russia.”

“He [Donald Trump] wants to seek modes of working together with Russia, which is the root we need to follow,” said Stein.

She explains: “It’s Hillary Clinton who wants to start an air war in Syria, with Russia, by declaring a no fly zone. It’s actually under her we could slide into nuclear war.”

She admits that she won’t sleep well under a Trump presidency, but is much more terrified with Hillary Clinton in the White House.

According to U.S Officials, President Obama is set to meet with the National Security Council (NSC) and his top advisers over military options in Syria.

Reuters reports: One option being mulled over is airstrikes on Syrian military, radar and anti-aircraft bases, as well as arms depots, citing high-ranking US officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.

This new development is troubling, as talks of war in Russia and Putin’s recent actions have been seen as preparation for conflict with the U.S over Syria.

Recently, Putin ordered Russian Officials to return to Russia immediately. This comes weeks after the State Department announced that the U.S will no longer engage in talks with Russia over Syria. The two countries will still keep an open line of communication available, in order to keep military personnel operating in Syria safe.

Putin’s ally, Vladimir Zhirinovsky stated, “Americans should vote for Donald Trump as president next month or risk being dragged into a nuclear war.” However, many Russians regard Zhirinovsky as a clownish figure who floats radical opinions to test public reaction.

Neocon Hillary

Hillary Clinton has been described as the most neoconservative candidate the Democrats have ever nominated. This indicates that she is largely in favor of using military force in favor of U.S interests. Many were even surprised of Obama’s use of military action, saying he’s more war friendly than former George W. Bush.

Jill Stein probably sees a Clinton presidency as a continuation of Obama’s or even worse. Many on both sides, Republicans and Democrats, would agree with her.

Her final point is that Americans have more than two options. If you dislike Trump, but are terrified of a Clinton presidency, then vote third party.
