High-Profile Alaskan Pot Activist Raided By Police

ANCHORAGE, AK – When Alaskan TV reporter Charlo Greene famously quit her job at KTVA last year while reporting a negatively-spun story on her own Alaskan Cannabis Club, a dispensary for user-generated pot that was aimed at pushing legislation toward legalizing the drug in the state, she became something of a hero to all of us pro-liberty activists and writers who share her philosophy. But of course, this action and attitude could only go unchecked for so long, and the powers-that-be have recently sent a very clear message to Greene:

The die is cast.

This past Friday, Greene’s aforementioned ‘Club Cannabis’ was reportedly raided by local police via search warrants filed to investigate “criminal activity.” Speaking to KTVA, Greene reemphasized to her former employer that her dispensary is on the up-and-up, and only houses what patrons bring in on their own:  “We don’t sell any medical marijuana, we don’t sell any recreational marijuana. This is a place for cardholders to come and share their own cannabis.”

Nevertheless, that didn’t stop the cops from busting in, confiscating paraphernalia (and some electronics, according to Greene), and impounding two vehicles before leaving with – you guessed it – absolutely no arrests made or charges filed. Greene sees the raid merely as a scare tactic designed to discourage her agenda, and not as something indicative of any real threat, deciding to reopen the club the very next day. “By opening back up bright and early, less than 24 hours after the local police department’s failed scare tactic, we, at the Alaska Cannabis Club, have made it clear that the will of the people is stronger than any force they have — and we aren’t going anywhere,” she boldly told the Associated Press.

Thank you for being so brave, bold, and beautiful through all of this, Ms. Greene. We freedom-lovers applaud you. Fight on.
