Groups of Black Lives Matter protestors have been blocking passage of everyday drivers commuting in various cities across various states in an attempt to raise awareness of their cause, but the reaction to this particular tactic of getting people’s attention has been almost universally negative, with many drivers subjected to the events having to miss work, failing to reach doctor’s appointments, and experiencing other major daily shake-ups as a result.
Finally, some of these drivers are putting their feet down – on their gas pedals. Such as is Carbondale, Illinois when a man decided to drive straight through the protesters!
According to The Federalist Papers:
“Black Lives Matter protesters blocked an Illinois highway on Sunday and tried to intimidate a motorist. The man became aggravated and just drove through their barricade.”
In the video (provided below), the man driving the car in question tries to reason with the protesters and steps out of his vehicle to request passage. When the shouting merely continues, the man steps back into his car, and slowly but forcibly drives forward, forcing the protesters in his way to move. One of the protesters can be heard shouting, “Oh my god!” While another (presumably behind the camera) states: “He just hit someone!”
