Bearded Hipsters With Man Buns Mistaken for ISIS Terrorists

Turns out, there’s this not-so-mainstream, hipster-clad international band of bearded brothers called the Bearded Villains.

The group’s website describes themselves as such:

“We are a brotherhood of elite bearded men from all over the world.

Established in 2014 with the purpose of showcasing the bearded men with character from your next door neighbor to the supermodel on GQ mag.

Our Brotherhood is about Respect, Loyalty to the club and support among our own fellow Bearded Villains.”

Well, one Swedish citizen and the police thought differently. When the men of the Swedish chapter of Bearded Villains were having a “flag shoot at a castle ruin called Braehus,” a citizen called and reported the scene as they “drove past and saw about 30 terrorists waving an ISIS flag.”

Fransson, member of Bearded Villains and founder of ratemybeard.se said the police “quickly saw that we weren’t terrorists, out in the middle of nowhere, dressed in formal wear, hugging and laughing.”

Although, the ISIS and Bearded Villains flag may be confused from a distance, I think the two groups are a bit different.
