Wednesday’s Libertarian Party Town Hall was one of the most watched television programs that night. According to a press release from CNN, the Libertarian Party Town Hall did better than The Kelly File and The Rachel Maddow Show. In addition to this, the program ranked #1 among adults aged 25-54.

The Libertarian Party Town Hall was watched by 642K adults aged 25-54, while Fox News and MSNBC lagged behind with 529K and 462K respectively. In total viewers however, CNN received only 1.62 million while MSNBC had 1.974 million and Fox News  2.819 million.

However, there is a significant silver lining. The last Libertarian Party Town Hall hosted by CNN was in June, which received 900K viewers, marking a 74% increase in total viewers. In addition to this, the amount of adults aged 25-54 doubled from 320k to 642k, marking a significant increase.

The CNN Libertarian Party Town Hall was moderated by Anderson Cooper and featured questions about marijuana, foreign policy, education policy and others. The Libertarian Republic‘s very own Mohammed Shaker asked a question to Governors Johnson and Weld about why he should vote for them.

Johnson received 10% in two polls conducted by NBC/WSJ and McClatchy/Marist. Johnson is currently averaging 8% in the RealClearPolitics average of polls of a four-way match up between him, Clinton, Trump, and Stein.

CNN will host a Green Party Town Hall on August 17 with Green Party presidential nominee Dr. Jill Stein and vice presidential nominee Ajamu Baraka.
