TLR published a report that revealed an undercover NYPD officer was with the gang while they were assaulting a man who had fled for his life after the biker gang brake-checked him on the highway. Now it appears he was not the only officer on the scene. TLR has now learned that Alexian Lien was beaten in front of his wife and child while as many as 5 undercover officers potentially stood by and did nothing. Investigators are working to determine what role, if any was played by the other officers. Two were reported to have directly witnessed the account, while the whereabouts of the other three at the time are still in question. They took four full days after the incident before coming forward. There are reports that there could have been other undercover officers, though none are suspected of directly beating Lien, who remains in the hospital. Lien’s wife, Rosalyn Ng, explained why her husband ran over one of the bikers. “We were faced with a life-threatening situation, and my husband was forced under the circumstances to take the actions that he did in order to protect the lives of our entire family,” Ng said.
