FARGO, ND – One woman is taking the battle against childhood obesity into her own hands this year and she’s using a favorite American holiday to make the point. “Cheryl” says she plans to hand out letters to kids that she thinks are “moderately obese” instead of giving them candy on Halloween.

“I just want to send a message to the parents of kids that are really overweight,” Cheryl said. “I think it’s just really irresponsible of parents to send them out looking for free candy just because all the other kids are doing it.”

Nice. I am sure the KID will be happy to get this information because I’m SURE that child has NO IDEA he/she is over-weight from enduring the CONSTANT harassment of his/her peers day in and day out at school. It takes a village? YOU are the village IDIOT.
. . .How mean. You don’t single out certain children to shame them. If you want to make a stand, treat all trick or treaters EQUALLY. Pass out fruit cups, granola bars . . .etc, to every single one. ALL children need better eating habits, not just the ones that you assume are obese. There are children with illnesses that make them appear obese (it is actually the medication . . .ex. asthma . . treated with.steroids . . .use your brain) I am smh at this :-/
Sounds like we have a lady on her high horse thinking that she knows better than actual parents on how to raise their kids. People like this disgust me and I hope she balloons up to become obese herself and someone treats her the exact same way.
Man, that is worse than the house that hands out dental floss and pennies.
She would love for the village to take the children away to be raised by the nanny-staters. Just hand out pencils, lady – like the dentists do.
