Trump Thanks His Base: ‘I Love the Poorly Educated”

by Lina Bryce

Once again, Donald Trump has made another statement that requires interpretation – but only for those who aren’t already supporters.

This time it’s clarification on his statement on celebrating the ‘poorly educated’ for his victory in Nevada’s Republican caucuses on Tuesday.

“We won with highly educated, we won with poorly educated! I love the poorly educated,” he said from his podium, flanked by two of his sons, Donald, Jr, and Eric Tump.

Trump won his third straight victory regardless of his usual train of unflattering remarks and liberal positions. It’s safe to say that there is nothing he can do to lose the blind support of his followers, even insulting them.

Of course, there is truth to his remarks. Uneducated voters overwhelmingly choose Trump time and time again. He has acknowledged this and thanked them.

Prior to winning Nevada, Trump had 67 delegates. He will take 13 delegates from the Nevada caucus, according to the New York Times. He needs a total of 1,237 delegates to become the nominee.
