Trump and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have been feuding for quite a while.
Trump has repeatedly attacked her Green New Deal as a plan that will “crush” low-income Americans. And, most famously, he subtweeted her and Bernie Sanders during the State of the Union address, saying that America will “never be a socialist country”.
But things escalated even further when he went on Twitter to tell progressive democratic congresswomen to “go back to their countries”.
So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly……

….it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

Ocasio-Cortez shot back almost immediately, in her usual fashion.
Mr. President, the country I “come from,” & the country we all swear to, is the United States.
But given how you’ve destroyed our border with inhumane camps, all at a benefit to you & the corps who profit off them, you are absolutely right about the corruption laid at your feet. https://t.co/HLKQCotR8T
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 14, 2019
But you know what’s the rub of it all, Mr. President?
On top of not accepting an America that elected us, you cannot accept that we don’t fear you, either.
You can’t accept that we will call your bluff & offer a positive vision for this country. And that’s what makes you seethe.
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 14, 2019
It’s important to note that the President’s words yday, telling four American Congresswomen of color “go back to your own country,” is hallmark language of white supremacists.
Trump feels comfortable leading the GOP into outright racism, and that should concern all Americans.

However, this morning, a new series of tweets by the President brought the fight to a new level. First, he criticized the congresswomen for, um… cursing.
…..shouting of the F…word, among many other terrible things, and the petrified Dems run for the hills. Why isn’t the House voting to rebuke the filthy and hate laced things they have said? Because they are the Radical Left, and the Democrats are afraid to take them on. Sad!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 16, 2019
Someone was quick to point out that he does this all of the time, and even posted a video of him saying the ‘F word’ on several occasions.

Then, he told anyone who doesn’t like the United States to leave the country.
Our Country is Free, Beautiful and Very Successful. If you hate our Country, or if you are not happy here, you can leave!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 16, 2019
That’s when Ocasio-Cortez decided to get personal.
Hey Mr. President, remember when you bragged about sexually assaulting women, talking about feeling their breasts and genitals, because “when you’re a star they let you do it?”
And then you imposed DOE policies to make it harder for sexual assault survivors to report assault? https://t.co/Y2sa2TUcbl

Ouch! She keeps going…
Donald Trump has decided he does not want to be President of the United States.
He does not want to be a President to those who disagree.
And he’d rather see most Americans leave than handle our nation’s enshrined tradition of dissent.
But we don’t leave the things we love. ????????
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 16, 2019
Of course, ordinary Americans had things to say about both of them.
ideally, you want the president of the united states and the racist loudmouth at the end of the bar to be two separate people

Ma'am you're not the sharpest bartender in Congress
— Terry, LEO (Ret.) ???????? (@editor_wp) July 16, 2019
God himself even joined in the fight, giving the democratic congresswoman the advantage.
We will always be here to fight against him and everyone like him.
— God (@thegoodgodabove) July 16, 2019
Moral of the story? The American political system is just as dysfunctional as always. But at least in the age of Twitter it gives us some good drama.
