The Top 5 Ways this Election is Rigged

The Top Five Ways the Election is Rigged

by Aya Katz

We live in a country where, supposedly, anyone could grow up to be president. That’s what they tell us in school, and that’s what young idealists tend to believe. Sometimes, when people are being cynical, they grumble that to really be considered for the presidency, you must have gone to an Ivy League school, must be extremely wealthy and know all the right people. That may or may not be true,  but this election year, it’s  actually even more biased than that! This year,  the election is rigged so that whoever wins has to be either a Republican or a Democrat.

Now this may not seem surprising, as ever since 1853, there has not been anyone elected president that was not either a Democrat or a Republican. That is an unusually long run. But up until now, we all supposed that this long line of Republicans and Democrats in the White House was merely a coincidence. We believed that anyone might come along at any moment and be elected president of the United States who was not affiliated with one of the Two Old Parties.

But what if the election is not a free for all? What if it’s rigged in advance for one of two major parties to control the White House at any given moment? And what if the Two Old Parties are the ones who have rigged it that way? What if they are acting in collusion to make sure that anyone else running for president never even gets considered?

Sounds like a ridiculous conspiracy theory, right? Republicans and Democrats all  hate each other, after all. But here is a list of the top five ways in which they are working together to keep everyone else out.

1. The CPD is Composed of Democrats and Republicans

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) is a supposedly “nonpartisan” private nonprofit that gets to unilaterally decide who is or is not allowed into the presidential debates. The Commission is controlled by members of the Democratic and Republican Parties, and it is funded by the same political donors who sponsor the Two Old Parties. Even though the CPD is a private organization, it represents the United States government’s foreign propaganda arm, USAID, in foreign countries such as Bosnia, Burundi, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Haiti, Jamaica, Lebanon, Niger, Nigeria, Peru, Romania, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, and the Ukraine, where it advises foreign governments to allow minor parties into the national debates, while at the same time preventing all but Republicans and Democrats from participating in ours.

This might make you wonder whether our election might be rigged.

2. The Polls the CPD relies on are Biased in Favor of Republicans and Democrats

According to the CPD, these are the criteria for inclusion of a presidential candidate in the national debates:

Candidates qualify for debate participation who: (1) are constitutionally eligible to hold the office of President of the United States; (2) have achieved ballot access in a sufficient number of states to win a theoretical Electoral College majority in the general election; and (3) have demonstrated a level of support of at least 15 percent of the national electorate, as determined by five selected national public opinion polling organizations, using the average of those organizations’ most recent publicly-reported results.

The five polls that have been selected are:

  1. ABC-Washington Post;
  2. CBS-New York Times;
  3. CNN-Opinion Research Corporation;
  4. Fox News;
  5. NBC-Wall Street Journal

But when the pollsters run these polls, they do so in a highly biased way, one that favors Republicans and Democrats over anyone else. According to an article published by the Libertarian party, the polls are rigged:

…Each of the five polls contains at least one serious flaw. For example:

3. MSM Reports about the Election are Biased in Favor of Democrats and Republicans

While every knowledgeable person is aware that any publication, media outlet or news report is bound to have some bias for or against one or another political party, what is not as readily understood by the public is that each of the mainstream media (MSM) networks, whether they are blatantly pro-Republican or blatantly pro-Democrat, are equally determined to completely drown out the voices of those voting for third-party candidates. In a recent incident at CNN, a focus group surveyed on their voting choices was censored to make it appear that a majority of those polled were undecided,when in fact they were very much decided — they were voting third-party!

The MSM are actively colluding with the Two Major Parties to make it appear that no third-party candidate is running for president, and that anyone not voting Democrat or Republican must be undecided.

4. Many of the Same Political Donors Sponsor Both Republicans and Democrats

For a long time now, we have seen that many major donors to the Republicans also donate to the Democrats and vice versa. As just one example, Donald Trump is known to have donated to Hillary Clinton and other Democrats’ campaigns. For people with a lot of money, this seems like a safe hedging policy, because each presidential election year, while it may be hard to predict which candidate will win the White House, it is a near certainty that it will be either a Democrat or a Republican. The same is true for congressional  and even gubernatorial campaigns. Because the powers that be are already so highly invested in the campaigns of both  Republicans and Democrats, they would stand to lose a lot of money, if one or the other party did not win the White House or control Congress. These donors do not care in the least who wins, as long as it’s a Democrat or a Republican. Both Democrats and Republicans are equally beholden to them. But there would be hell to pay, if it was not one of the two for each elective office!

This is one way in which the election is rigged.

5. Even if the Election Were Thrown to the House, the House is Full of Democrats and Republicans

Despite all the gaslighting by the mainstream media and the CPD, the public does know about Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party Candidate for president. Johnson is even polling surprisingly well in certain key states, New Mexico and Utah, to name two.

The Democrats and the Republicans are running a tight race, each more hated and despised than the other. There is speculation that neither Trump nor Clinton may win a majority in the Electoral College. In that case, the election may be thrown into the House. Supporters of Johnson are hoping that in such an eventuality, both Democrats and Republicans in the House will opt for a Johnson presidency, in order to prevent the rival of their candidate — Trump or Clinton — from winning.

This presupposes a naive hatred by Trump supporters for Clinton and by Clinton supporters for Trump, such as we see in angry Facebook posts. But Johnson supporters are forgetting one thing: practically all the members of Congress are bought and paid for by the same rich donors.  They are Republicans and Democrats first, and Americans second. If the wealthy donors who contributed to the congressional campaigns of the house members — whether Republican or Democrat — tell the beneficiaries of their bounty to pick either Clinton or Trump, they will vote as they are told. It is very unlikely that any congressperson whose election was paid for by the Demo-Publicans will suddenly turn around and vote Libertarian. It’s not rigged to work that way.
