Sundays With Steffi – Baking With Coolidge!

Happy Sunday, Liberty Lovers!

Calvin Coolidge and his wife, Grace, loved cornmeal muffins! They got a recipe for the White House to use from the inn at Northampton, adapted it, and made it their own. Join me as I make Calvin Coolidge’s favorite cornmeal muffins, while trying not to set my kitchen on fire. I may not have any baking tips, but I certainly do have many Calvin Coolidge facts for you!

You can find the cornmeal muffin recipe at https://foodtimeline.org. The recipe is also featured in The Presidents’ Cookbook on p. 407.
