Mitt Romney appeared more lively in his speech this afternoon than he did for most of his presidential campaign. Romney laid out the anti-Trump arguments most of us have heard before, but he did so in an articulate manner.
Romney’s best shot at Trump scored laughter and applause.
“Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University,” the former Republican nominee declared, referencing the defunct real estate school Trump is currently being sued over.
Trump in turn has dismissed Romney as a “stiff” who “didn’t know what he was doing” when he ran for president four years ago.
