Hillary Launches Campaign Ad Featuring Republicans Slamming Trump

Hillary Clinton, the most likely Democratic Party nominee, has switched her focus from Senator Bernie Sanders to Donald Trump, and her newest campaign ad shows it. The ad released on her Facebook page and Twitter, it features Republicans, all of them former opponents of Trump, criticizing him.

In the ad, Trump calls himself a “unifier” and that he is going to unify the party.

However, Clinton shows proof of the opposite. Video clips include Senator Marco Rubio calling him a con artist, Mitt Romney calling him a phony, Senator Ted Cruz calling him a bully and Senator Lindsey Graham calling him a “race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot.”

The ad also features former New York governor George Pataki calling Trump “the know-nothing candidate,” and Carly Fiorina claiming that he makes others “feel small.”

Excerpts from Mitt Romney’s speech at the Hinckley Institute are also included, calling Trump a “fraud” and slamming the “misogyny” of Trump’s campaign.

The ad showcases just some of what Republicans worry Donald Trump and exemplifies why many think he will have trouble in the general election. While a new poll shows Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton by two percent, another poll released yesterday shows Clinton winning by thirteen percent.

Of course, negative ads haven’t affected Trump in the past as he is now the presumptive Republican nominee. But will the general election prove any different?
