It’s no surprise to anyone that Hillary Clinton has consistently come up on the opposite side of liberty. That is unlikely to change if she assumes the presidency. While it’s hard to find any truly good positions she holds, some are just plain bad for America. Any candidate who holds these views should likely be disqualified from running for public office.
1. Hillary Wants to Ban Gun Sales for Those on the Terror Watch List
This is an outright assault on the Second Amendment rights of everyday Americans. As many pointed out when House Democrats staged a sit-in to prevent people on No-Fly lists, the government has very lax standards for who it puts on these pieces of paper. Now, Hillary has declared interest in suspending the Second Amendment for whoever she happens to name on such a list. This is an extension of the Obama gun-control agenda and runs contrary to American values.
Eminent Domain is a tool of the government to coerce people’s property out from under them. While in theory “just compensation” is supposed to be offered, that can never account for the subjective value someone attributes to their home. While Hillary says she only supports it “when job creation is involved,” she has also supported using this power to take away an old woman’s home to build a parking lot. The Obama administration has shown its disdain for the individual in these past years, and that would certainly continue in a Clinton presidency.
3. Hillary Wants to Force Apple to Make Its Computers in the U.S.
Nothing smells more of fascism than mandating where a company does their business. The big-government measures supported by Hillary are what make it impossible to do business here. Yet, she wants to “get Apple to build their damn computers and things in this country instead of in other countries.” It might sound good for jobs, but under the anti-business environment fostered by President Obama that she would continue, don’t be surprised if the cost of an iPod goes up substantially. Hillary thinks she can do whatever she wants as president, and that’s bad for America.
4. Hillary Clinton Supports Raising the Minimum Wage
Understood by most economists to be a job-killer, the minimum wage is a policy that pulls the rug out from under low-skill workers. Minorities that haven’t had access to decent public schools will find themselves at a distinct disadvantage trying to build their resume in the job market. Yet, Hillary has openly supported raising the minimum wage. “I think people have to get more,” she said, “and I don’t know how people make it on $7.25 an hour.” The alternative to making $7.25 an hour is making $0 an hour. That’s exactly what will happen if we give Barack Obama’s economic interventionism a third term.
5. Hillary Wants to Kill the Innocent Families of Terrorists
This is probably the most horrifying position held by the former Secretary of State. While Obama’s already committed such actions, all unnoticed, in the past, Hillary wants to continue this vicious tradition. Acknowledged by many as a potential war crime, killing the families of terrorists is a move that denies due process or human decency to people who have committed no crimes. Just imagine if a family member committed a crime, and “President Hillary” had the power to kill you as well. Yet, Hillary has brazenly suggested, “you have to take out [terrorists’] families.” America may be a world power, but we should not be a world terror. This blatant disregard for human life should disqualify Hillary from holding higher office.
As you can see, these positions run contrary to the spirit of American excellence, respect for human rights, and dedication to the advancement of human society through free-trade. A candidate that advocates for these positions should not be considered as a viable leader of the free world. That is why, upon reading all of these policies that would extend the failures of the Obama administration, I hope you will agree Donald Trump should never be president, as he is the one actually propagating all of these ideas.
