Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb took the steps necessary to remove a party official following the revelation of audio tapes that included the official making appalling remarks about Congressman Steve Scalise.
In the recording, co-chair of the party’s technology committee Phil Montag expressed his displeasure with Republicans, the American Healthcare Act, and his wishes for Scalise to have died.
“I’m glad he got shot. I’m not going to f***ing say that in public. I wish he was f***ing dead!”
After hearing the recording, Kleeb acted to get Montag out of the party, and even reported him to the police.
