Democratic congresswoman suggests gov’t shutdown related to woman’s death

Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) appeared on the floor of the House of Representatives to tie the government shutdown may have contributed to the death of the woman who was killed on Capitol Hill yesterday.

Lee states “rather than respond in a way that leaves 8,000 federal employees unemployed, and god knows the tragedy of this poor person who came on the hill in a black car. No one knows what drived (sic) this person to do this, but I would say this…”
