Not so funny comedienne Sarah Silverman has added to her lackluster sense of humor by insinuating that there should be a military coup d’etat to over throw President Donald Trump just weeks after he was sworn into office.

Silverman, took to Twitter on Wednesday, to call for people to “wake up & join the resistance.”

She added, “Once the military is w us fascists get overthrown. Mad king & his handlers go bye bye.”

Silverman made sure to use all caps to make sure that her 10 million followers understood the seriousness of the moment and to add credibility to a situation where she was clearly lacking any.

The comedienne’s incendiary comments come amid an already tumultuous political climate where those on the left, claiming to hold “tolerance” and “virtue” near and dear to their hearts, are denying free speech, rioting in the streets, damaging private property and attacking political opponents for simply holding different opinions. (See the ongoing UC Berkeley and the Milo Yiannopoulos situation.)

Fox News also reported that Judd Apatow, director of movies such as  “Knocked Up” and “Trainwreck,” also decided the world needed his two cents on how free speech works, in relation to the UC Berkeley situation, saying in a now-deleted tweet, “This is just the beginning. When will all the fools who are still supporting Trump realize what is at stake?”

Then you have Filmmaker Lexi Alexander defending the riots and destruction of civility by telling followers to “punch Nazis,” “riot when your college invites a Nazi,” and “set it all on fire.”

The irony is rich with political commentary from celebrities, from Silverman to Alexander, the virtue signaling is misguided at best and completely ignorant and self-centered at worst. It may be time for the left and specifically the upper echelon of the left, to look in the mirror and understand that the reason Trump was even allowed to have a platform, nonetheless be elected president, is simply because the constant cognitive dissonance, presenting of a moral high ground and hate coming from those in a profession with no grasp of reality has made a lot of the general populous yearn for something different.
